Venue Co-ordinator – What’s In The Job Description?

The clue’s in the title because a Venue Co-ordinator will primarily be concerned with the wedding venue. This means their responsibilities lie around the venue and very little else. Venue Co-ordinators won’t spend time on the planning of the actual day nor will they be concerned with the dress or the guests. Their job will be to set up the chairs and tables, wedding and reception and that the food is in excellent condition, and that it’s served on time. Often a Venue Co-ordinator will leave as soon as the cake has been cut, because that my friends, is job done. Their responsibilities have come to an end and they can move on out.

Wedding Planner – What Does A Wedding Planner Do Exactly?

A wedding planner’s remit is so much more than a Venue Co-ordinator. While a Venue Co-ordinator is there for the venue only, a wedding planner is there for both the bride and the groom and everything else inbetween. They stay with you both throughout the entire journey, helping you to create everything from the floor plan to the dress and the contracts. They’re there to pay attention to all of the details and make sure the entire wedding goes perfectly. They’ll stay in contact with you throughout and liaise with families and friends too.
